The Effingham County Chamber of Commerce has two meetings coming up on trips available to area residents in 2017.
Reflections of Italy in October will take travelers to a number of sites in Rome, Venice, Perugia, Assisi, Florence and Milan among other destinations. Highlights of the trip, which is October 9 to 18, include a visit to the Colosseum, Arch of Constantine, Tuscany, Michelangelo’s statue of David, Chianti winery tour, Murano Island and much more.
The Chamber and Effingham Travel Agency are hosting an information meeting on this trip on Saturday, April 1 at 10 a.m. at the Chamber office. New reservations made at the information meeting will receive a $50 discount off the trip.
Through the Chamber’s affiliation with national and international tour partners, the Chamber is able to offer an opportunity for local travelers to join a Super South Africa trip in September and experience the history and culture of the country. The trip includes tours of Johannesburg, Kruger National Park, Stellenbosch and Cape Town, plus the city of Dubai. An information meeting on this trip will be held Thursday, March 30 at 5:30 p.m. at the Chamber office.
