Local Sports Calendar

Effingham Public Library is pleased to local artist and businesswoman, Irene Lilley.   Irene’s show entitled “The Wandering Mind” is in the Library’s Art Gallery and will be available to the public until, Monday, Oct. 21 2016.

As an artist, Irene enjoys painting abstracts, landscapes and ocean scenery.  Her medium of choice is acrylic. 

Primarily self-taught, Irene began painting when she was fourteen years old.

On January 12, 2016, Irene opened her own Irene’s Dream, her own art gallery at 301 E. Jefferson, Effingham.  Besides showing and selling her work locally, Irene’s Dream also offers art supplies, artisan furniture and art lessons for those 5 years and older.
