The “Age of Champions” is a documentary surrounding strength, determination, and bravery. The film follows four categories of athletes: a 100 year old tennis champion; The Tigerettes, a 65 and older five-time women’s basketball team; an 86 year old pole vaulter; and a set of swimmers, brothers ages 88 and 90, who are all set out to win the gold medal for their category in the Senior Olympics. The courageous efforts of this group of athletes demonstrates that age should never be a deterrent in striving to reach one’s optimal potential. A post-screening discussion will allow the opportunity for the audience to dis-cuss active aging and how physical activity can positively influences the aging process.
