Local Sports Calendar

Effingham Public Library will be holding a two day book sale on Friday, September 16 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday, September 17 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

For the first time the Library will be offering an Early Bird Entry; for a fee of $20, bargain book hunters will gain entry to the Book Sale an hour early between 8 a.m. and 9 a.m. The Early Bird Entry Fee is payable in cash at the door on the day. The fee covers entry to the Book Sale only; book purchases are in addition.

Featured items include new, nearly new and vintage books in the following categories: history, suspense, cooking, art, house (plans, remodeling and decorating), Christian, large print, children’s, politics, military, biographies, nature, westerns, sports, travel, woodworking, gardening, romance, sci-fi, self-improvement and more. 

No items will be sold prior to the book sale date.  Book donations are accepted at the library check out desk during regular library hours.  Proceeds from the sale will go toward special projects at the library.
