C.H.A.T Group

HSHS Hospice Southern Illinois offers a cancer support group called Compassionate Healing and Awareness of Thoughts (C.H.A.T.), facilitated by HSHS Hospice Southern Illinois Bereavement Counselor Maddie Johnson, MS, NCC, LPC. C.H.A.T. is a year-round, open enrollment group for those who have been diagnosed with and/or are undergoing treatment for cancer. The goal is create a safe space of acceptance where each person can share experiences, questions, and concerns. This support group is offered free of charge and no reservation is required.

The group meets on a monthly basis in HSHS St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital’s Auditorium-St. Francis Room on the first Monday of every month from 6 to 7:30 p.m. The next session is scheduled for Tuesday, July 5.
