Area quilt makers are encouraged to enter their completed quilts, wall hangings, wool applique and apparel in the upcoming Sew Happy Hearts Quilt Show to be held June 24-25 at the former Neoga Elementary School location at 641 West 6th Street, Neoga.
To enter your works in the quilt show simply bring them the former school between 5 and 7 p.m. on Wednesday, June 22, or from 8 a.m. until noon on Thursday, June 23. Entry forms will be available at the drop off location and it is free to enter your quilts in the show. Quilt pick up will be from 2:30 to 4 p.m. Saturday, June 25, following the show.
The quilt show is scheduled for Friday, June 24 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday, June 25 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Entry into the show is $3 per person. Visitors will also receive a $1 off coupon for the Neoga IGA, Patty’s Cakes & More, and The Villa on 45 or The Depot.
Proceeds from the show help with the club’s charitable giving works. Sew Happy Hearts group has donated quilted and sewn items to various organizations including Heartland Christian Village, veterans groups, area children’s’ homes and to children.
