Katie Klosterman Named CCIW Women's Golfer of Week

NAPERVILLE, Ill. -- Illinois Wesleyan's Katie Klosterman was named the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Women's Golfer of the Week Wednesday.
Klosterman, a senior from Effingham, Illinois and Effingham High School (Chemistry/Pre-Med major), finished tied for 30th with a three-day score of 233 (79-74-80) at Illinois State University's Redbird Invitational September 8-9 at the D.A. Weibring Golf Course. The Titans were the only NCAA Division III team as they competed against 13 other Division I schools.
Klosterman, the daughter of Steve and Robin Klosterman, has earned three letters (2010-11, 2011-12, 2012-13) for Illinois Wesleyan. A graduate of EHS, Klosterman was named All-Apollo Conference for four years and was conference tournament champion as a senior. She lettered and was team most valuable player all four years in golf. She was a three-time Illinois High School Association state finalist, placing 28th as a senior.
During the 2012-13 season, she finished tied for third at 2012 College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin championships with three-day total of 258, earning all-conference honors. Finished tied for 43rd at 2013 NCAA Div. III Women's Golf Championships with a four-day total of 328. Tied for first in the April 30 Dual Match vs. Washington University, shooting a one round score of 76. Had an average of 82.0 in 28 rounds. Had season low of 76 in four different rounds.
In the only other action this season, Klosterman competed in the Olivet College Labor Day Tournament where she had an 83-89 -- 172.
