Effingham St. Anthony shows off the hardware they won at the State Golf Tournament during the weekend.

The Bulldogs shot a team total of 312 Friday and advanced to Saturday play where they shot a 300 for a 612 total and the state title while Teutopolis finished eighth in the field.

Other teams Competing were Fulton 619, Port Byron Riverdale 621, Rockford Lutheran 629, Breese Mater Dei 630, Quincy Notre Dame 636, Carthage Illini West 643 and Teutopolis 328-321 -- 649.

Riverdale's Aidan Dorathy won the individual title with a 74-69 -- 143. St. Anthony's Joey Trupiano finished 10th with a 77-73 -- 150.

Also competing for the Bulldogs were Jack Swingler 37-41 -- 78, Ryan Schmidt 78-77 -- 155, Dakota Flaig 80-78 -- 158, Maddux Clark 83-76 -- 159 and Alec Hakman 79-87 -- 166.

Teutopolis took eighth place with a 328-321 -- 649 total. Coen Pennington finished tied for 10th place with a 77-73 -- 150.

Also competing for the Wooden Shoes were Isaac Weber 79-77 -- 156, Colin Habing 83-90 -- 173, Drew Hoene 88-87 -- 175, Brody Thoele 91-85 -- 176, Hayden Tebben 90 Friday and Nolan Schumacher 92 Saturday.

Effingham competed in Class 2A at Prairie Vista Golf Course in Bloomington and finished ninth as a team with a 326-319 -- 645 total.

Competing for the Hearts were Max Seachrist 40th with a 157 total followed by Jude Traub 44th with 159, Leo Wyckoff 59th with a 163, Brody Boehm 67th with a 167, Cannon Bockhorn 80th with a 172 and Rayden Schneider with an 88 on Friday.

In the Class 1A Girls State Tournament, Effingham St. Anthony placed fourth as a team with a 684 total.

Addie Krouse was 19th with a 162 while Brooklyn Philips finished 28th with a 169. Also competing were Gianna Frisbie 37th with a 172, Tesa Ludwig 60th with a 181, Adria Moberly 65th with a 185 and Mia Schwing 81st with a 199.

Effingham's Ella Tuman finished 54th with a 180.

Teutopolis had two players competing, Brileigh Bloemer was 53rd with a 180 and Molly Habing finished the first round with a 100.
