Newton Finisihes Third In Little Illini Conference Golf Meet

Mount Carmel won with 319 followed by Richland County, Olney 323, Newton 325, Lawrenceville 333, Casey-Westfield 338, Robinson 385, Paris 390 and Marshall 432.

Medalist was Richland County's Ayden Nealis with a 69.

Newton's Gunner James was second with a 73. Also scoring were Michael Kennedy and Jack James who were tied for ninth with an 82 each.

For the girls, Peyton Lindley finished seventh with a 97.

In a match at Oak Glen Golf Course, Thursday hosted by Oblong/Palestin/Hutsovnille, Newton took first with a 159 followed by OPH 169, Robinson 195 and Marshall 210.

Medalist was Newton's G. James with a 37. Second went to Kennedy with a 39 and Evan Johnson third with a 40.  J. James and Fulton finished tied for seventh with a 43 each.
