Bulldogs Takes First, Second At Paris Golf Invite, Hearts Third At Mt. Zion Invitational

PARIS -- Effingham St .Anthony took the top two spots while Teutopolis was fourth at the Paris Boys Golf Invitational Saturday.

St. Anthony 1 claimed the title with 315 strokes. Maddux Clark led the Bulldogs with a 37-38 -- 75 tally and finshed third overall. Also scoring were Joey B. Trupiano, who finished fourth overall, with a 77, Ethan Karolewicz 40-41 -- 81 and Ryan Schmidt 40-42 -- 82. Non-counting scores were Dakota Flaig 40-44 -- 84 and Jack Swingler 37-50 -- 87.

St. Anthony junior varsity took second with a 321 tally. Scoring were Manaye Mossman who finished second overall with a 37-36 -- 73, Jameson McAllaster 42-39 -- 81, Drake Brown 43-40 -- 83 and Alec Hakman 43-41 -- 84. Other scores were Andrew Meyer 41-45 -- 86 and Cole Adams 44-44 -- 88.

Charleston's Jase Latoz took first with a 73.

Teutopolis placed fourth out of the 13 teams with a 337. Coen Pennington tied for fourth place individually with a 77. Hayden Tebbe tied for seventh with a 79. Isaac Weber tied for ninth with an 80. The other scorer was Drew Hoene with an 88. Non-counters were Brody Thoele 89, Collin Habing 91, Kade Penington 91, Nolan Schumacher 92 and Landyn Thoele 92.

 

At Mount Zion

Effingham competed at the Mount Zion Cup Tournament and finished third out of 15 teams.

The Hearts' Jude Traub and Leo Wyckoff took third place in the two-person scramble event shooting a 70.

Max Seachrist and Cannon Bockhorn shot a 78 in the alternate shot and captured third place.

Rayden Schneider and Brody Boehm shot an 83 in best ball.

Mount Zion won the event followed by Charleston in second.
