EHS Edges St. Anthony, Golf Roundup

Effingham High School edged Effingham St. Anthony 145-147 in boys golf competition Wednesday at the Effingham Country Club.

St. Anthony's Joey B. Trupiano was medalist with a 33.

Scoring for the Hearts were Jude Traub 34, Max Seachrist 37, Leo Wyckoff 37 and Brody Boehm 37. Rayden Schneider had a 43 and Cannon Bockhorn a 44.

Scoring along with Trupiano for the Bulldogs were Dakota Flaig 36, Ryan Schmidt 38 and Manaye Mossman 40. Other tallies were Ethan Karolewicz 42 and Joey C. Trupiano 46. The Bulldogs were celebrating Senior Night.

In junior varsity play, St. Anthony was a 152-194 winner. Jack Swingler and Maddux Clark shared medalist honors with a 36 each. Alec Hakman added a 39 and Jameson McAllaster a 41.

Non-counting scores were Drake Brown 43, Keegan Overbeck 45, Andrew Meyer 45, Cole Adams 46, Daniel Ramos 48 and Gabe Huebner 52.

Effingham was led by Kaden Field and Jack Poe with a 43 each. Also scoring were Allyn Koester 53 and Owen Nuxoll 55. Cole Jones had a 74.

 

At Olney

North Clay (Louisville) had three golfers compete for the boys and two for the girls at the Richland Country Club Wednesday.

Brodie Adair had a 45 while Riley Poe added a 49 and Jacob Arnold a 55.

For the girls, Kennedy Jones had a 45 and Mackenzie Winterrowd a 52.
