Teutopolis Claims Four-Team Golf Match

CASEY -- Teutopolis High School claimed a four-team boys golf match Thursday.

The Wooden Shoes won with a 164 as Coen Pennington tied for medalist honors with a 39. Also scoring were Brody Thoele 40, Isaac Weber 42 and Hayden Tebbe 43. Non-counting scores were Nolen Schumacher 46 and Colin Habing 40.

Newton was second with a 170. Michael Kennedy tied for medalist honors with a 39. Also scoring were Jackson James 42, Gunner James 44 and Evan Johson 45. Others competing were Grant Fulton 49 and Blaine Bergbower 53.

Third place went to Casey-Westfield with a 185. Scoring were Jack Julius 42, Carson Hall 46, Skylar Lowe 48 and Kian Garver 49. Non-counting scores were Tyler Volk 50 and Kieffer Julius 54.

The fourth place team was Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg with a 194. Jacob Vonderheide had a 44 followed by Rylan Rincker 47, Andrew Petzing 50 and Blake Owens 53. Non-counting were Patton Voris 54 and Ross McCormick 57.

The two Newton girls were the leaders of the girls match with Peyton Lindley and Haley Ochs both shooting a 51.
