Newton Wins Three-Team Boys Golf Meet, N.C. Results

PARIS -- The Newton High School boys golf squad won a three-team match hosted by Paris Friday.

Newton's top four golfers were Michael Kennedy 39, Gunner James 44, Jackson James 44 and Evan Johnson 45.  Also competing were Grant Fulton 46 and Blaine Bergbower 46.

Arcola was second with the top four golfers, Canton Wesch the medalist with a 34 followed by Logan Schrock 43, Kody Burdick 46 and Kendall Schrock 49. Also competing were Will Biggs 49 and Kole Binder 52.

Newton and Arcola were tied and had to use the fifth score to break the tie. 

Third place went to Paris with the top four golfers Lincoln Livesay 44, Sean Dunn 47, Landon Taylor 49 and Ty Rhodes 55. Also competing were Armend Malovski 58 and Jake Perry 71.

Newton girls competing wre Haley Ochs with a 51 and Peyton Lindley with a 54. Ajay McCann competed in junior varsity and finished with a 54.

 

At Louisville

North Clay competed at the Clay County Country Club Friday.

Riley Poe scored a 41 to tie for second place. Also scoring were Brodie Adair 44, Jacob Arnold 45 and Hunter Czyzewski 58.

Girls competing were Kennedy Jones who took medalist honors with a 45 and Mackenzie Winterrowd finished third with a 53.
