St. Anthony Wins Third Straight Girls Golf Tournament

MATTOON -- Effingham St. Anthony claimed its third straight girls golf tournament title Tuesday at Meadowview Golf Course.

The Bulldogs tallied a 180 for the victory in the Teutopolis Invitational four-team meet. They were followed by Effingham 199 and Teutopolis 206. Mattoon did not have enough for a team score.

Medalist was Mattoon's Blair Power with a 40. St. Anthony's Addie Krause was second with a 41. She was followed in the scoring by teammates Brooklyn Phillips 45, Mia Schwing 47 and Tessa Ludwig 50. Non-counting scores were Giana Frisbie 50, Adria Moberly 51, Lauren Myer 54 and Lucy Bierman 57.

Scoring for Effingham were Ella Tuman 46, Kylie Pryor 52, Natalie Armstrong 52 and Ella Macklin 52. Non-counting scores were Grace Harper 53, Mya Harvey 53, McKenna Mayhood 57 and Allison Kroenlein 66.

Teutopolis scorers included Brileigh Bloemer 46, Molly Habing 48, Halle Bushue 56 and Sophia Martin 56. Also competing were Brooke Thoele 57, Josie Willenberg 59, Olivia Wermert 62 and Mallory Bloemer 67.

Mattoon had only three golfers competing. Blair Power with a 40, J. Holdeman 51 and Malaya Harrington 69.
