Effingham St. Anthony captured the 17th Annual Lady Trojan Golf Scramble Monday.

CHARLESTON -- Effingham St. Anthony High School picked up its second big victory in four days as the Bulldogs claimed the 17th  Annual Lady Trojan Golf Scramble at the Charleston Country Club Monday.

The Bulldogs tallied a 76 followed by Effingham 80, Salem 83, Charleston 84, Sullivan 85, Teutopolis 90, Mount Zion 98 and Champaign Central 106.

St. Anthony took second and fourth place duo finishes. Addie Krouse and Brooklyn Phillips were second with a 36 while Mia Schwing and Gianna Frisbie placed fourth with a 40. Also competing were Tesa Ludwig and Adria Moberly who tallied a 43.

Schwing won the proximity award for the longest putt.

St. Anthony had also captured the six-team Williamsville Invitational Friday at The Rail Golf Course in Springfield.

The Bulldogs won with a team score of 349. Scoring were Phillips with an 85, Krouse with an 86, Schwing with an 87 and Frisbie with a 91. The scores not counting were  Moberly with a 103, Ludwig with a 104 and Lucy Bierman with a 130.

Pleasant Plains took second wth a 402 followed by Virden North Mac 416, Williamsville 438 and Stanford Olympia 463. Maroa-Forsyth had two golfers competing, not enough for a team score.

The Hearts were second at Charleston with an 80. Scoring were Ella Tuman and Grace Harper third with a 39 and MaKenna Mayhood and Natalie Armtrong with a 41. Also competing were Mya  Harvey and Alilson Kroenlein with a 45. 

Armstrong won the proximitey award for longest drive.
