St. Anthony Competes In National Golf Tournament In Texas

Effingham St. Anthony competed in the National High School Golf Tournament. Members of the team were, left to right, Joey Trupiano, Charlie Wegman, Ryan Schmidt, Dakota Flaig, Preston Phillips and Lane Ludwig.

Effingham St. Anthony finished 28th in the National High School Golf Tournament that took place July 1-3 at Fields Ranch East, Fields Ranch West and Westridge Golf Course in Frisco Texas July 1-3.

The team finished with a 314 total July 1 at Fields Ranch West. Joey Trupiano led the way for St. Anthony with a 76 followed by Lane Ludwig 78, Dakota Flaig 78, Preston Phillips 82, Charlie Wegman 82 and Ryan Schmidt (ind.), 80.

The team tallied a 323 in July 2 competition at Fields Ranch East. Trupiano had a 77 followed by Ludwig 80, Flaig 83, Wegman 83, Phillips 90 and Schmidt (ind.), 86.

Then at WestRidge Golf Course July 3, the team finished with a total of 297. Ludwig led the way with a 67 followed by Phillips 75, Trupiano 77, Wegman 78, Flaig 80 and Schmidt (ind.) 83.
