EHS Girls Win, Area Golf Roundup

The Hearts were led by medalist Ella Tuman with a 39. Also scoring were Elena Niebrugge 42, Makenna Mayhood 43 and Natalie Armstrong 47. Grace Harper finished with a 53 and Mya Harvey a 54.
Extra players for the Hearts were Kylie Pryor 46, Allison Kroenline 50, Ella Marklin 55, Coralin Ohnesorge 55, Addi Ruiz 60 and Jerzi Bierman 60.
Pana finished second with a 259 total while Teutopolis was third with a 204. Taylorville and Mount Zion competed but did not have enough for a team score.
Scoring for Teutopolis were Halle Bushue 44, Hildi Niemerg 51, Brileigh Bloemer 54 and Brooke Thoele 55. Non-counters were Sophia Martin 60 and Olivia Wermert 62. Extras for the Wooden Shoes were Josie Willenberg 55, Ellie Hoene 68 and Margaret Wente 69.
Pana scorers were Claire Osborn 55, Nicole Arkebaur 68, Gabby Heinrich 68 and Jayda Dary 68.
Mount Zion's competitors were Avery Kyburz 52, Gabby Daniels 53 and Jillian Rockey 63.
Taking part for Taylorville were Ryleigh Mizeua-Crist 52, Jordan Dietezich 61 and Liz Martin 68. Laura Wayman did not finish.
At Effingham
Charleston came calling at the Effingham Country Club and handed Effingham a 151-169 loss in boys golf action Tuesday.
Medalist was Charleston's Alex Kuyklendall with a par 36. Also scoring for the Trojans were Hudson Metster 38, Rhyland Bandy 38 and Alex Kuykendall 39. Non-counters were Zach Craig 43 and Dylan Bell 45.
Scoring for the Hearts were Max Seachrist 39, Jude Traub 42, Evan Pryor 43 and Leo Wyckoff 45. Non-counters were Brody Boehm 47 and Rayden Schneider 48. Extras were Cannon Bockhorn 38 and Blayne Pals 46.
Effingham is now 8-4 on the season while Charleston remained unbeaten at 10-0.
"Wednesday is Senior Night," said EHS Coach Jeff Schafer. "We will be celebrating Blayne Pals, Ross Schaefer, Parker Siner and Evan Pryor."
At Teutopolis
Teutopolis defeated Robinson 165-184 at the Effingham Country Club in boys action Tuesday.
Medalists were T-town's Coen Pennington and Isaac Weber with a 39 each. Also scoring were Ethan Thoele 43 and Hayden Jansen 44. Non-counters were Brody Thoele 47, Noah Koester 47, Kole Ohnesorge, Owen Heuermann, Landyn Thoele and Hayden Tebbe scored a 51 each.
The Wooden Shoes are 12-2 on the season and travel to the Charleston Invitational Friday.
The T-town junior varsity played at Fore-Way Golf Course against Effingham St. Anthony.
St. Anthony edged the Shoes 154-155. Co-medalists were St. Anthony's Drake Brown and T-town's Owen Kremer with a 35 each.
Also scoring for the Bulldogs were Andrew Meyer 38, Ethan Karolewicz 40 and Teddy Dietzen 41. Non-counters were Cole Adams and Keagan Overbeck with a 44 each and Gabe Huebner 53.
Scoring for the Shoes along with Kremer were Gavin Althoff and Andy Lustig with a 39 each and Lane Ohnesorge with a 42. Non-counters were Nolan Schumacher 43, Matthew Habing 46, Ben Sandschafer 49 and Karson Zerrusen 49.
T-town's junior varsity has a 4-6 record. The Shoes are back in action Thursday at Cardinal Golf Course hosting Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg and Shelbyville.
At St. Elmo
North Clay competed at the St. Elmo Golf Club against Flora, Pana and host Altamont.
Only North Clay scores were given. Those included Riley Poe 45, Kennedy Jones 50, Jacob Arnold 53 and Alaina Worland 73.
