Bulldogs Third, Hearts Fourth at Richland Co. Girls Golf Invitational

St. Anthony finished third at the Richland County Golf Invitational.

OLNEY -- Mount Carmel captured the championship of the Richland County Girls Golf Invitational while Effingham St. Anthony took third and Effingham fourth in Wednesday action.

Mount Carmel tallied 155 followed by Salem 173, St. Anthony 181, Effingham 186, Charleston 219, Fairfield 240 and Richland County 249.

The Golden Aces took first and second place individual finishes. Maria Kennard and Miley Kennard scored a 37 each. Salem's Mya Russell was third with a 40 while St. Anthony's Addie Krouse took fourth with a 40 and Mount Carmel's Emily Gottman was fifth with a 40. Effingham's Makenna Mayhood took ninth with a 42.

Also scoring for St. Anthony were Sydney Kibler 10th with 43, Brooklyn Phillips 18th with 48, Nora Trupiano 22nd with a 50,  Gianna Frisbie 26th with a 51 and Mia Schwing 28th with 52.

Scoring for Effingham, along with Mayhood, were Ella Tuman 15th with 45, Elena Niebrugge 19th with 48 and Natalie Armstrong 25th with 51. Also competing were Grace Harper 34th with 57 and Mya Harvey 36th with 58.
