Bulldogs Take First, Second At Olney Golf Invitational

OLNEY -- Effingham St. Anthony claimed first and second places at the Olney Boys Golf Invitational Friday at the Richland Country Club.

St. Anthony finished with a 315 followed by St. Anthony 2 with 316. After the Bulldogs were Litchfield 319, Richland County 327, Teutopolis 335,  Mount Carmel 336, Teutopolis 2 353, Paris 353, Newton 354, Lawrenceville 359, Sullivan 377, Robinson 379, Marshall 382, Flora 386, Oblong 391 and Richland County 2 428.

St. Anthony's Dakota Flaig was medalist with a 71. while Joey Trupiano tallied an 80, Charlie Wegman an 82 and Preston Phillips an 82. Non-counting score was Lane Ludwig 87.

St. Anthony 2 was led by Jack Swingler 76, Alec Hakman 79, Ryan Schmidt 79 and Ethan Karolewicz 82. Non-counting score was Maddux Clark 86.

Teutopolis finished fifth with a 335 total. The Wooden Shoes' Coen Pennington finished third with a 75. Also scoring were Brody Thoele 83, Isaac Weber 85 and Hayden Tebbe 92. Non-counter was Ethan Thoele 92.

Teutopolis 2 was led by Hayden Jansen 84 followed by Isaac Weber 85, Noah Koester 88 and Kole Ohnesroge 89. Non-counters were Drew Hoene 92 and Landyn Thoele 96

Scoring for Newton were Michael Kennedy in 15th place with 81, Grant Fulton with an 85, Gunner James with a 92 and Evan Johnson with a 96.
