Veterans Day Golf Outing Earns $1,525 For Veterans Memorial

On Friday, the 16th Annual Chris Thies Veterans Day Golf Outing was held at the Foreway Golf Course in Effingham.

"It was a cool windy fall day, perfect weather for this golf outing and 52 golfers competed," said Manuel Wei.

Money raised was $1,525 for the Effingham County Veterans Memorial. bringing the total raised to date to $24,000.

The winning team consisted of Chris Thies, Mark Daugherty and Dan Overbeck.
