In the girls meet, Mattoon was the team champion with 365 followed by Mahomet-Seymour 366, Effingham 378, Charleston 394, Mount Zion 419, Taylorville 457 and Lincoln 532.
Medalist for the tourney was Mahomet-Seymour's Ainsley Winters with a 77.
Effingham's Elena Niebrugge finished seventh with a 92, Marah Kirk was 10th with a 94, Ella Tuman was 11th with 95 and Ella Niebrugge 13th with a 97. Non-counting scores were Marissa Allie 14th with a 97 and Anna Hirtzel 17th with a 101.
In the boys meet at Mattoon, the Hearts took third place
"We played our best overall round of the year," said EHS Coach Jeff Schafer. "David Splechter made All-Conference shooting his first round in the 70s of his career. Brody Boehm and Cannon Bockhorn had their career best 18s as well. Colby was solid as he always is. We have just made steady improvement all season. It's nice to see it pay off."
Scoring for the Hearts were David Splechter with a 79, Colby Haynes with an 85, Brody Boehm with an 86 and Cannon Bockhorn with an 88. Non-counters were Rayden Schnieder with a 97 and Evan Pryor with a 97.
Match Play Challenge
Effingham St. Anthony won the Match Play Challenge Monday. The Bulldogs tallied 6 points followed by Anna-Jonesboro 4, Olney 3.5, West Frankfort 3, Paris 2, Teutopolis 1.5, Massac County 1 and Benton 1.

St. Anthony Invitational
Effingham St. Anthony hosted a girls individual Monday. Mount Carmel claimed the team championship with a 141 followed by St. Anthony 171, Teutopolis 199 and Olney 209.
Mount Carmel captured the top two spots as Lillian Gottman won with a 32 while Mady Young took second with a 34. St. Anthony's Addie Krouse was third with a 35. Mount Carmel then took the No. 4 and No. 5 spots to finish out its scoring.
Along with Krouse, St. Anthony scorers were Madison Brummer 42, Sydney Kibler 46 and Mia Schwing 48.
Scoring for Teutopolis were Abigail Wortman 47, Alaina Helmink 49, Brileigh Bloemer 49 and Halle Bushue 54. Non-counters were Mollie Koester 59 and Josie Deters 61.
