EHS Boys, Girls Claim Golf Victories

SULLIVAN -- Effingham High School claimed both boys and girls golf victories Thursday at the Sullivan Country Club.

In the girls meet, Effingham tallied 195 followed by Sulivan 213 and Teutopolis 224.

Effingham's Marissa Allie was medalist with a 44. Also scoring for the Hearts were Marah Kirk 49, MaKenna Mayhood 50 and Ella Niebrugge 51. Other scores were Ella Truman 51, Elena Niebrugge 53, Anna Hirtzel 54 and Natalie Armstrong 68.

Scoring for Teutopolis were Halle Bushue 53, Abigail Wortman 57, Alaina Helmink 57 and Mollie Koester 57. Non-counters were Brileigh Bloemer 63, Josie Deters 64 and Hildi Niemerg 72.

Scoring for Sullivan were Hannah Righter 48, Ruby Haegen 53, Shae Ellis 54 and Devin Richardson 56. Non-counters were Lara Herschberger 58, Kate Bushue 62, Gabby Penberthy 63 and Ava Shriver 67.

In the boys meet, Effingham won the meet  with 178 followed by Teutopolis 181 and Sullivan 191.

Effingham's Colby Haynes was medalist with a 41. Also scoring were Rayden Schneider 42, Cannon Bockhorn 47 and David Splechter 48. Non-counters were Evan Pryor 50, Brody Boehm 52, Kaden Field 53 and Ross Schaefer 56.

Scoring for Teutopolis were Adam Lustig 43, Kole Ohnesorge 44, Davin Worman 46 and Ethan Thoele 48. Non-counters were Dylan O'Brien 49, Brody Thoele 53, Landyn Thoele 56 and Gabe Schlink 58.

Scoring for Sullivan were Bushue 42, Haegen 42, Woolen 53 and Saul 54. Non-counters were Palmel 55, Wadkins 59 and Ruppert 60.
