SALEM -- Effingham St. Anthony's Jonathan Willenborg, Joey Trupiano and Jack Swingler were medalists in a victory over Salem at the Salem Country Club Tuesday.

The three golfers finished with a 36 each to lead the way while Dakota Flaig finished out the scoring with a 39.

Others participating were Michael Martelli 41, Coen Pennington 42, Charlie Wegman 42 and Ryan Schmidt 51.

Scoring for the Wildcats were Jairen Stroud 39, Brogan Gregg 39, Matt Slover 43 and Hunter Russell 44. Others competing were Cale Harris 44, Ryan Detering 46, Logan Lockhart 47 and Rhett Deterich 51.

In the junior varsity contest, the Bulldogs also claimed the win by a 180-199 count.

Leading the way were Alec Hakman 40, Aidan Tegeler 46, Ethan Karoelwicz 46 and Maddux Clark 47. Non-counters were Drdake Brown 48, Matt Herzing 61, Keenan Griffith 62 and Luke Anderson 62.

Salem golfers were Kyler Sapp 46, Aden Bass 47, Jackson Jarrett 50, Luke Young 56, Payton Phillips 59, Aden Doolen 61 and Jackson Green 63.

The Bulldog girls squad was edged by Salem, 195-196.

Winning medailst honors was St. Anthony's Addie Krouse with  a 40. Other scores were Maddie Brummer 51, Mia Schwing 51 and Sydney Kibler 54.
