St. Anthony Girls Claim Golf Win, JV Boys Fall

OLNEY -- Effingham Anthony High School claimed a girls varsity golf victory over Olney Wednesday.

The Bulldogs tallied a 134 compared to a 150 for Olney. Medalist was the Bulldogs' Addie Krouse with a 37. Also scoring were Maddie Brummer 45 and Mia Schwing 52.

Scoring for Olney were Caroline Glover 42, Megan Gibson 53 and Taylor Runyon 55. Non-counting score was Savannah Ferguson 72.

In junior varsity boys action at Richland Country Club, Olney was a winner 162-172. Olney's Alex Nealis was medalist with a 35.

Scoring for St. Anthony were Michael  Martelli 39, Jack Swingler 41, Ryan Schmidt 46 and Aidan Tegeler 46.

Non-counters for the Bulldogs were Alec Hakman 47, Drake Brown 49, Ethan Karolewicz 51, Maddux Clark 51, Matt Herzing 56 and Keenan Griffith 66.

Scoring for Olney were Alex Nealis 35, Aiden Nealis 39, Reese Glover 41 and Carsyn Ameter 46. Non-counters were Alex Harness 47, Tristan Mitchell 48, Isaac Klingler 54 and Aaron Klingler 57.

Cisne's Anden Atwood finished with a 41.
