PGA Tour Increases Amount of Money For Wins

The PGA Tour is facing competition from the new Saudi-backed LIV Golf, and in response it’s increasing the amount of money it pays out to tournament winners.

Winners of the 44 tournaments in the 2022-2023 season will receive a total $428.6 million, with another $61.5 million to be paid out at the Masters, the PGA Championship, the U.S. Open and the Open Championship. Overall, that’s an increase of more than $63 million on the latest season.
