St. A Boys, Girls, Altamont, T-town Claim Golf Victories

Effingham St. Anthony nabbed both boys and girls golf victories Tuesday at the Salem Country Club.

The Bulldogs won the girls meet by a 173-207 count. St. Anthony's Lauren Schwing and Salem's Kenele Anderson tallied a 39 each to share medalist honors. Also scoring for St. Anthony were Nina Hakman 43, Ellie Wegman 45 and Addie Krause 46. Non-counters were Maddy Brummer 51 and Allison Geen 52.

Scoring for the Wildcats along with Anderson were Alyssa Paul 45, Mak Mann 57 and Maya Susmena 66. Non-counters were Kiley Viera 71 and Jaryn Haarmann 74.

In the boys varsity meet, the Bulldogs claimed a 163-182 victory.

Jonathan Willenborg and Thomas Chojnicki claimed medalist honors together with a 39 each. Joey Trupiano shot a 41 and Dakota Flaig a 44 to round out the scoring. Non-counters were Charlie Wegman 49 and Lane Ludwig 51.

Scoring for Salem were Hunter Russell 40, Jared Stroud 42, Cale Harris 49 and Isaak Williams 51. Not counting in the scores were Brogan Gregg 53 and Steven Mulvaney 64.

In junior varsity play, Salem edged the Bulldogs, 185-187.

Levi Young was medalist for the Wildcats with a 42. Also scoring were Rhett Detering 44, Ryan Detering 49 and Logan Lockhart 50. Non-counters were Jackson Jarrett 53 and Cole Casburn 53.

Scoring for St. Anthony were Aidan Tegeler 44, Michael Martelli 45, Ethan Karolewicz 47 and Ryan Schmidt 51. Not counting was Patrick Ciorna's 54.

 

At Pana

Altamont improved to 5-1 on the season with victories over host Pana and Hillsboro Tuesday.

The Indians' Kevin Hall and Tyler Stonecipher were co-medalists with a 36 each. Also scoring were Avery Jahraus with a 38 and Zeke Rippetoe with a 50. Non-counters were Alec Jahraus 54 and Daniel McCammon 59.

Scoring for Hillsboro were Preston Lyerla 39, Drake Vogel 42, Dom Haggard 43 and Tyson Thacker 47. Non-counters were Dillon Smail 49 and Austin Loskot 55. The Hiltoppers are 2-2.

Scoring for the Panthers were Ryan Karback 42, Austin Karback 48 and Jackon Rhodes and Owen Spracklen with a 54 each. Grififn Kimbrel had a 57 and Tyler Beyers a 63. Pana is now 2-3.

At Robinson

Teutopolis was a winner over Robinson at Quail Creek Country Club Tuesday, 190-198. Lawrenceville competed but did not have a team score.

Scoring for the Wooden Shoes were Adam Lustig 45, Peyton Tegler 48, Brad Thoele 48 and Kole Ohnesorge 48. Non-coutners were Jansen 49 and Bennet Thompson 54.

Scoring for Robinson were Hethery 45, Rich 46, Maxwell 50 and Bayne 57. Non-counter was Davis 63.

Competing for Lawrenceville were Grey 56 and Vennard 59.

The Shoes are 1-3 on the season and return to action Thursday at Sullivan.
