St. Anthony won the Charleston 9-Hole Scramble. Team members are, left to right, Sydney Kibler, Allison Geen, Nina Hakman, Lauren Schwing, Ellie Wegman and Addie Krouse.

CHARLESTON -- Effingham St. Anthony High School won the Charleston Girls 9-Hole Golf Scramble Monday with a one-over-par 71.

Scoring for the Bulldogs were Ellie Wegman and Lauren Schwing with a one-under-par 35. Also scoring were Nina Hakman and Addie Krouse with a two-over-par 38.

Non-counting score was a 43 by Allison Geen and Sydney Kibler.

Wegman and Schwing took first for individual score and Hakman and Krouse placed fourth individually. Schwing took home an award for longest drive and Hakman won an award for longest putt.

Scores for Effingham were Marah Kirk and Anna Hirtzel with a 37, Ella NIebrugge and Marissa Allie with a 45 and Elena Niebrugge and Emilie Vincent with a 48. Kirk and Hirtzel finished third in the twosomes.

Teutopolis girls competing were Abigail Wortman/Mollie Koester with a 41 and Alaina Helmink/Josie Deters with a 50.
