Effingham native Jaclyn Jansen finished tied for 30th in her first tournament as a professional golfer.
The 30th place finish came as one of 144 players entered in the field at the Florida's Natural Charity Classic. Jaclyn, the daughter of Jack and Jennifer Jansen of Effingham, had a familiar face as her caddy, Effingham Country Club Pro Tim Krouse. She finished with a two-over 74 in her final round after playing the first two rounds at one-over.
Jansen is playing on the Symetra Tour, billed as the "Road to the LPGA". She finished a highly successful collegiate career at Baylor University last year after winning a state championship as a student at St. Anthony High School.
