Three local players reached the finals of the Illinois High School Association state golf tournaments Saturday.

Junior Macy Ludwig of St. Anthony High School finished in a tie for 26th place in the girls tourney at Red Tail Run Golf Course in Decatur. Ludwig shot an 80 Saturday for a two-day total of 162.
Junior Ava Boehm of Effingham High School finished in a tie for 34th place in the girls tourney, shooting an 84 Saturday for a two-day total of 165.
On the boys side of the ledger, senior Jayden Rios of St. Anthony High School shot an 88 Saturday for a two-day total of 168 to finish in a three-way tie for 40th place. The boys tournament was played at Prairie Vista Golf Course in Bloomington.
The Effingham High School girls golf team finished 10th in Friday play at the state tourney. New IHSA rules limit the number of teams that advance to the finals on Saturday to eight, so EHS just missed advancing in the first-ever appearance by an EHS girls team at State. EHS scores: Ava Boehm 81, Morgan Krouse 88, Kennedy Collier 94, Anna Sigg 103, Jaelyn Boone 116, and Anna Hirtzel 124.
Also, St. Anthony's Reagan Westendorf and Lauren Schwing played at State on Friday, but did not advance to the Saturday finals.
