Bulldogs Claim Olney Girls Golf Invite, EHS Third

OLNEY -- St. Anthony High School claimed the championship of the Olney Girls Golf Invitational Wednesday.
The Bulldogs finished with a team total 158 followed by Mount Carmel 163, Effingham 169, Charleston 190, Olney 213 and Salem 218.
St. Anthony and EHS players burned up the links as the Bulldogs had two finishing the round with 38s and those were Macy Ludwig and Ellie Wegman. Also scoring for the Bulldogs were Morgan Schuette 41 and Nina Hakman 41.
EHS was led by Ava Boehm who also carded a 38. Kennedy Collier scored a 42 while Morgan Krouse chipped in with 43 and Jaelyn Boone had a 46.
Mount Carmel's Madelyn Young was the medalist with a 37 then came the three Effingham residents before Salem's Kenzie Anderson rounded out the top five with a 39.
