PARIS -- Effingham St. Anthony will be well represented at the Class F State Golf Meet after competing in sectional action Wednesday.

The Bullpups have four boys and one girl that will be competing at State. The top eight scorers moved on from sectional play.

Coen Pennington placed third with a 40-42 -- 82 tally while teammates Lane Ludwig took fourth with a 42-41 -- 83, Joey B Trupiano was seventh with a 42-43 -- 85 and Ryan Schmidt took eighth with a 48-38 -- 86.

Schmidt tied with Effingham Sacred Heart's Jude Traub who also advances with a 45-41 -- 86.

Other St. Anthony golfers competing but not advancing were Charlie Wegman 10th with a 44-45 89 and Dakota Flaig 13th with a 51-42 -- 93.

Other Sacred Heart golfers competing but not advancing were Brody Boehm 11th with a 47-44 -- 91, Henry Brent 15th with a 49-49 -- 98, Alec Hakman 24th with a 57-55 -- 112, Jack Swingler 26th with a 59-60 -- 119 and Ethan Karolewicz with a 63-57 -- 120,

At the Lincoln Greens Golf Course in Springfield, St. Anthony's Allison Geen advanced to state. Geen finished tied for eighth with a 57-51 -- 108 score.

Also competing but not advancing from St. Anthony were Liv Hoene with a circle 84-72 -- 156 and Annabelle Weishaar with a circle 94-72 -- 166.

The Bullpups advance to the State Meet Saturday, September 14 at Kellogg Golf Course in Peoria.

Sacred Heart participated in the sectionals with, left to right, Jude Traub who advances to State, Brody Boehm, Alec Hakman, Jack Swingler and Henry Brent. Not pictured was Ethan Karolewicz.

St. Anthony's Allison Geen will be competing at the State Meet September 14.
