Gary Woodland Claims U.S. Open

Gary Woodland held off Brooks Koepka and Justin Rose to win the U.S. Open at Pebble Beach by three shots. It was the first major championship for Woodland, while Koepka was trying to join Willie Anderson as the only players to win the U.S. Open three consecutive years.

Henderson Wins Meijer LPGA Classic

Brooke Henderson held off Lexi Thompson, Nasa Hataoka, Su Oh and Brittany Altomare to win the Meijer LPGA Classic by one stroke. With the win, Henderson broke the Canadian record for tour victories with nine.
