St. Anthony, Effingham Finish 1-2 at Olney Invitational

St. Anthony and Effingham's girls golf squads finished 1-2 at the Olney Invitational Wednesday.
St. Anthony finished with a 161 team total, led by Ava Wegman who was medalist at the tournament with a 37. Other St. Anthony counters: Macy Ludwig and Clare McHugh, who each shot a 40, and Jessica Coffin with a 44. Not scoring for St. Anthony was Ellie Wegman with a 46 and Reagan Westendorf with a 50.
Ludwig and McHugh's scores were good for third and fourth place at the tournament.
Effingham finished second with a 177 team total. Morgan Krouse led the way for EHS with a 43, while Abbi Burgess and Ava Boehm each shot a 44. Keira Hirtzel was the fourth counter with a 46. Also for Effingham: Kennedy Collier with a 48 and Anna Sigg with a 52.
The team results at the tournament: St. Anthony 161, Effingham 177, Oblong 181, Mattoon 184, Salem 194, Charleston 196.
