Bulldogs Take Triangular, Golf Roundup

Effingham St. Anthony High School's girls golf squad picked up a triangular victory Thursday.

The Bulldogs tallied 160 followed by Oblong and Robinson (no scores reported).

Scoring for St. Anthony were Clare McHugh 39, Ava Wegman 40, Macy Ludwig 40 and Ellie Wegman 41.

Non-counting scores were Morgan Schuette 43, Reagan Westendorf 46, Nina Hakman 48 and Jessica Coffin 49.

 

At Olney

Teutopolis played in a quadrangular meet at Olney Thursday.

Olney claimed the win with 179 followed by Charleston Junior Varsity 181, Teutopolis 194 and Fairfield 194.

Scoring for the Wooden Shoes were Jacob Herd 47, Carter Jansen 48, Drew Kerner 48 and Asa Hanson 51.

Non-counters were Zach Ruholl 52, Andy Niebrugge 55, Gavin Meyer 58 and Derek Ozenkoski 64.

 

At Vandalia

Altamont fnished second in a three-team boys meet Thursday.

Vandalia claimed the win with 179 followed by Altamont 189 and Ramsey 230. Altamont is now 1-1 on the season.

Scoring for the Indians were Grant Schmidt 43, Tyler Stonecipher 46, Bryton Pruett 49 and Kevin Hall 61. Non-counter was Addie Smith with a 53.

At Vandalia

At Oblong

Effingham St. Anthony's junior varsity squad competed in a triangular at Oak Glen in Oblong Thursday.

St. Anthony won with 186 followed by Robinson 193 and Oblong 215.

Robinson's Cole Johnson was the medalist with a 42 followed by St. Anthony's Ryan Schultz in second with a 43.

Also scoring for the Bulldogs were Alec Erickson 45, Thomas Chojnicki 47 and Darin Hutchison 51.

Scoring for Robinson were Johnson, Nick Weber 47, Will Prindable 49 and Levi Middleton 55.

Scoring for Oblong were Jake Smothers 50, Grant Kidwell 54, Joe Pugh 55 and Braden Thompson 56. Non-counting was Hayden Johnson 63.
