BRISTOL -- Less than two weeks out from the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Championships), the North Central College women's golf team gave three members one final competitive opportunity to prepare at the Aurora University Fall Invitational on Monday, and Alex Brummer took full advantage of the chance and won the individual competition at Blackberry Oaks Golf Course.

Brummer, an Effingham High School graduate, posted the Cardinals' top 18-hole score of the fall season, firing a three over-par score of 75 to post a three-stroke victory over Aurora's Lizzy Marlinga.

Gillian Young placed seventh with a total of 84, while Brooke Maloney finished 15th with a score of 90.

The CCIW Championships will be contested at Prairie Landing Golf Club in West Chicago Oct. 5-7.
