TUSCOLA -- Effingham St. Anthony captured a girls varsity match while the junior varsity boys squad was a winner at the Iron Horse Golf Course Thursday.
In girls action, St. Anthony won 163-218 over Tuscola. Ava Wegman and Macy Ludwig tallied a 38 each while Clare McHugh added a 43 and Jessica Coffin a 44. Raegan Westendorf added a 44 and Morgan Schuette a 50 in non-counting scores.
Tuscola was led by Sydney Hoel 47, Claire Ring 48, Lainey Banta 61 and Olivia Chester 62. Whitney Root addeda 63.
The St. Anthony junior varsity boys squad won a quadrangular at the Iron Horse Golf Course Thursday.
The Bulldogs tallied 186 followed by Villa Grove 206, Tuscola 209 and Salt Fork 215.
Villa Grove's Trenton Harrison was medalist with a 42.
Scoring for St. Anthony were Jayden Rios 44, Darin Hutchison 46, Luke Flaig 48 and Ryan Schultz 48. Non-counter was Jake Utz 66.
Scoring for Villa Grove were Trenton Harrison 42, Elijah Richards 51, Sam Rind 51 and Zach Bussing 58. Non-counters were Jackson Vandeventer 60 and Clayton Arbuckle 65.
Scoring for Tuscola were Matt Erickson 49, Ethan Stumeier 53, Hunter Brandt 53 and Tyler Bialeschki 54. Non-counters were Caleb Arends 55 and Colter Lewis 62.
Scoring for Salt Folk were Jacob Althaus 44, Matt Harris 54, Trenton Derouse 56 and Sam Pratt 56. Non-counter was Brody Althaus 63.
At Charleston
Charleston played host to Effingham and claimed a 148-183 victory over Effingham Thursday at the Charleston Country Club.
The Trojans' Preston Smith was medalist with a 35 followed by Blake Wolfe 36, Keggan Gowin 37 and Ben Lanman 40. Non-counting score was turned in by Robert Rardin with a 41.
Effingham's Aiden Beck tallied 43 while Tate Niebrugge added a 44, Jacob Sigg a 45 and Brett Koester a 51. Non-counting score was by Colby Heaton with a 57.
At Altamont
Altamont played host to Centralia Christ Our Rock Lutheran and Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg and finished in the middle of the pair Thursday.
Christ Our Rock tallied a 186 followed by the Indians 187 and the Hatchets 196.
CORL was led by Nathan Ellis with a 41 followed by Tyler Fleeman 42, Jordan Bent 51 and Joel Young 52. Non-counters were Haydn Johnston 56 and Lukas Briscoe 63.
Scoring for Altamont were Grant Schmidt 43, Harrison Fitzjarrald 44, Noah Kopplin 49 and Nathan Hill 51. Non-counting was Austin Wendling with a 58. Addie Smith had a 51.
Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg was led by Gage Sattler 45, Logan Stremming 48, Isaac Kramer 49 and Christian Kessler 54. Non-counters were Logan Greuel 56 and Eli Howard 62.
