Effingham High School played host to Charleston, Teutopolis and Casey-Westfield in a quadrangular boys golf match Wednesday at the Effingham Country Club.

Charleston won the match with 155 followed by Effingham 188, Teutopolis 191 and Casey-Westfield 196.

The Trojans' Ben Layman was medalist with a 37 to improve the team to 13-0 on the season. Also scoring were Robert Rardin 38, Keegan Gowin 39 and Preston Smith 41. Non-counting was Blake Wolfe 45.

Effingham was led by Jacob Sigg with a 42. Other counting scores were Aiden Beck 43, Tate Niebrugge 50 and Brett Koester 53. Non-counter was Colby Heaton with a 61. The Hearts are now 3-1 on the season.

T-town scorers were Dylan Buenker 43, Carter Jansen 47, Jacob Herd 49 and Will Schlink 52. Non-counters were Asa Hanson 53 and Michael Deters 53.

Scoring for Casey-Westfield were Ashton Rogers 48, Payne Jansen 49, Garrett Oakley 49 and Trey Hulsinga 50. Non-counters were Ethan Hickox 57 and Hayden Orrell 63.
