St. Anthony Girls Take First at Golf Invitational

Effingham St. Anthony High School claimed first place in the Effingham/Teutopolis Girls Golf Invitational Tuesday.

The Bulldogs tallied a 328 followed by Champaign St. Thomas More 336, Effingham 358, Teutopolis 404 and Oblong 439.

St. Thomas More's Alaine Bowie shot an outstanding 64 on the Fox Prairie Golf Course that has a par of 71. St. Anthony's Ava Wegman finished second with a 77 while teammate Clare McHugh took fourth with an 80.  Effingham's Abbi Burgess and St. Anthony's Macy Ludwig tied for fifth with an 82 each.

Other scorers for St. Anthony were Reagan Westendorf seventh with an 86 and Abby Repking ninth with an 89.
