The Kaskaskia College women golfers finished second in the Region 24 Tournament held at the Weibring Golf Club in Normal.

Rend Lake College finished in first place and John A. Logan College finished in third.

KC was led in scoring by sophomore Lacey McTall.  The former Orphan Annie posted a two day total of 177, good for fifth place overall.  McTall and teammates Casey Willenborg (Teutopolis) and Christonia Saddler (Sandoval) earned a trip to the NJCAA national championship by finishing in the top five among golfers not on the winning team.

Willenborg’s total of 189 was good for eighth place overall and Saddler, who shot a personal best on day two, finished 10th overall with a 195.

The National Tournament will be played at the Chateau Elan Golf Club in Braselton, Georgia in May.  This is the first time in school history that KC has sent three players to the national championship.
