Bulldogs Nab Boys Win, Golf Roundup

Effingham St. Anthony High School nabbed a triangular boys golf meet at Taylorville's Lake Shore Golf Course Thursday.
The Bulldogs tallied 170 followed by Taylorville 182 and Pana 212.
Medalist was Taylorville's Connor Black with a 38 followed by St. Anthony's Luke Ludwig and Niko Dust with a 41 each.
Also scoring for the Bulldogs were Dylan Ferguson and Trey Koester with a 44 each. Non-counting scores were Jacob Schmidt and Nathan Schultz with a 45 each.
Scoring for Taylorville were Black, Tayler Davis with a 44, Miranda Coy with a 50 and Kyle Foraker with a 50. Non-counters were Ryan Ess 51 and Steve Harris 65.
Scoring for Pana were Michael Hrabak 47, Noah Hutchinson 52, Dylan Moon 55 and Brock DeWorff 58. Non-counting scores were Dagan Mizour 60 and Brad Berringer 68.
At Effingham
Charleston came calling and handed the Effingham girls squad a 166-174 loss at Foreway Golf Course Thursday.
Charleston's Lauren Chappell was medalist with a 33 followed by Ais Parish 42, Ally O'Dell 45 and Haley Walker 46. Not scoring were Paige Chappell 50 and Bailey Taylor 51.
Scoring for the Hearts were Alex Brummer 40, Abbi Burgess 43, Keira Hirtzel 43 and Lindsey Stephenson 48. Non-counting scores were Jade Depoister 52 and Kennedy Collier 56.
At Teutopolis
Altamont and Teutopolis JV played to a 203-203 tie at Cardinal Golf Course.
Medalist was Altamont's Grant Schmidt with a 41. Also scoring for the Indians were Noah Kopplin 42, Harrison Fitzjarrald 59 and Austin Wendling 61. Non-counting score was Nathan Hill with a 62.
Carter Jansen led the Wooden Shoes JV squad with a 47 followed by Asa Hanson 48, Joey Runde 53 and Michael Deters 55. Non-counting scores were Gavin Meyer 55 and Adam Kremer 63.
