Koerner Memorial Golf Sports Spectacular Sept. 14

The 24th Annual Carl P. Koerner Memorial Golf Sports Spectacular has been scheduled Thursday, September 14 at the Effingham Country Club.

The tournament is a five-person scramble with lunch and registration at 11 a.m. and a shotgun start at 12:30 p.m. Dinner and awards will be held at 6 p.m. Iced cold beverages will be served all day. Lunch is deli meats, potato chips, salad, tea, lemonade and dessert. Dinner is ribeye steaks, baked potato, salad and trimmings.

Cost is $100 per player. Mulligans are $5 each (limit 2 per player), Skins Game is available for $25 per team. Non-golfers may attend for dinner for $20.

First place gross will receive $500 cash prize. First place net also will receive $500 cash prize. Hole in-one wins a car. There will be a million dollar shot, eighth hole shootout with gift certificates, world team putting championships with $100 cash prize and Wacky drive contests with two $250 cash prizes. Also longest drive for men and women on No. 6, closest to pin on No. 2, No. 8, No. 12 and No. 16 and longest putt on No. 17.
