St. Anthony JV Finishes Fifth

BLOOMINGTON -- Effingham St. Anthony's junior varsity boys golf squad finished fifth in the Bloomington Junior Varsity Golf Invitational at Highland Golf Course Saturday.

Peoria Notre Dame won the meet with 190 followed by Normal U-High 2 198, Normal U-High 1 200, Mattoon 208, St. Anthony 221, Normal U-High 3 224, Normal 229, Bloomington 1 237, Champaign St. Thomas More 253, Bloomington 2 269 and Bloomington 3 379.

Peoria Notre Dame's Alec Fuhrman captured medalist honors with a 62. Scoring for the Bulldogs were Sam Wortman 67, Jared Hutchison 71 and Nate Schmidt 83. Wortman finished seventh. Non-scorers were Gus Koester 86 and Chris Jones 88.
