Teutopolis Downs Effingham in Girls Golf

Teutopolis High School scored eight strokes better and beat Effingham in girls golf competition Wednesday at the Effingham Country Club.

T-town tallied 226 while Effingham scored a 234. Paris had three golfers competing but not enough for a team score. Effingham's Morgan Wilson was medalist with a 49.

Scoring for the Wooden Shoes were Holly Dust and Haley Giles with a 55 each, Ellie Ruholl with a 57 and Laura Wente with a 59. T-town improves to 8-9 on the season.

Scoring, along with Wilson, for the Hearts were Courtney White 53, Hope Collier 63 and Delaney Hagenseiker 69. The Hearts drop to 5-7.
