St. Anthony Boys Finish Second in 14-Team Meet

The St. Anthony Bulldogs boys golf team finished second Friday at the Charleston Invitational.
Champaign Centennial won the event with a 298 team total. St. Anthony finished six shots back with a 304 total.
Joe Powell led the way for the Bulldogs with a 73 including a back nine of 36. Jack Niebrugge shot a 76 including a front side of 37. Garrett Hixenbaugh shot a 77 including a back of 38, and Cole Buehnerkemper shot a 78 including a front side of 38. Also for St. Anthony: Connor Greene shot a 78 and Dalton Anderson posted an 84.
St. Anthony Coach Phil Zaccari said, "As a team we played pretty well today." The 304 total is St. Anthony's low of the season, but Zaccari said, "We are not satisfied and we believe we can still do better."
