EHS Girls Golf Squad Claims Win

SULLIVAN -- Effingham High School's girls golf squad picked up a victory over host Sullivan Wednesday at the Sullivan Country Club.

The Hearts put together a 223 followed by Sullivan with a 238. Morgan Wilson and Sullivan's Emalee Hortenstine tied for medalist honors with a 50. Also scoring for the Hearts were Courtney White 54, Hope Collier 57 and Delanie Hagenseiker 62.

Scoring for Sullivan were Hortenstine, Beretta Phelps 54, Ariel Heppe 66 and Jessica Yantis 68. Non-scorer was Audrey Inman 68.

Meridian had one player, Bailey Nixon, with a 70.

Effingham is now 2-5 on the season.
