The St. Anthony Bulldogs boys golf team remained undefeated in matches by downing Salem Monday. The Bulldogs shot a 153 to best Salem by 12 strokes.
"Dalton Anderson played solid, carding a one-over-par 37 to lead us tonight," said St. Anthony Coach Phil Zaccari. "We need to get Dalton more consistent, hopefully this round will start that consistency. He played a very good round on a course he had never played. Joe Powell and Garrett Hixenbaugh also came in under 40. Garrett putted well and Joe was better from tee to green.
"It shows how our team is learning to play to their strengths that day to score well. We have a couple days to work out the kinks, especially our putting, as we get ready to face off with the larger schools at the Den in Bloomington Thursday."
Salem's Joe Tolliver was medalist for the match with a 34. The Bulldogs are now 3-0 on the season while Salem dropped to 1-2.
