Hearts Claim Boys Golf Win, Altamont Falls to CORL

Effingham High School improved to 14-0 with wins over Teutopolis, Okaw Valley, Flora and Cumberland in boys golf action at the Effingham Country Club Tuesday.
Jackson Wendling was medalist with a 35 for the Hearts. Also scoring were Callaway Smith 37, Reed Schafer 40 and Ryian Sandifer 44. Competing but not scoring were Matt Linders 47 and Sean Sandifer 48.
Scoring for Teutopolis were Christian Deters 41, Evan Schlink 47, Mat Weber 47 and Dylan Buenker 49. Non-counting scores were Brayden Bushue 50 and Austin Weber 53.
Cumberland scorers were Austin Light 46, Nick Kimble 56, Hayden Kaiser 56 and Rylee Matheny 58. Non-counter was Patrick Utler 59.
Flora scorers wre Nick Trotter 46, Zac Allison 52, Ty Warren 53 and Colten Kitley 54. Non-counting were Ryder Collins 55 and Trent Brown 61.
Scoring for Okaw Valley were Cameron Nickerson 43, Jay Orris 46, Paige Harlan 47 and Austin Harshman 50. Non-counters were Logan Tipsword 54 and Drew Fruchtl 55.
At Altamont
Centralia Christ Our Rock Lutheran tallied a 177-182 win over Altamont at the St. Elmo Country Club Tuesday.
Altamont's Adam Mayhaus was medalist with a 38. Also scoring for the Indians were Logan Deadmond 47, Cameron Jackman 48 and Dylan Miller 49. Non-counting scores were Noah Kopplin 53 and Luke Behl 55.
Scoring for Christ Our Rock Lutheran were Mitchell Kroeger and Eli Palm with a 41 each, Lucas Wessell 43 and Elijah Simpson 53. Non-counters were Ethan Boester 54 and Tyler Fleeman 59.
Altamont drops to 5-15 on the season while CORL improves to 10-8.
