Bulldogs JV Wins, T-town's Varsity Boys Victorious

CHARLESTON -- Effingham St. Anthony's junior varsity boys golf squad claimed a triangular meet over Cumberland and Charleston JV Thursday.

The Bulldogs scored a 185 followed by Cumberland 205 and Charleston JV 205. Mitchell Sager was medalist with a 44 for St. Anthony while Niko Dust tallied 46, Trey Koester 47 and Gus Koester 48. Non-counters were Jacob Schmidt 48, Ethan Rozene 54, Augie Heal 57, Will Willenborg 58 and Derek Kruger 66.

Scoring for Cumberland were Austin Light and Nick Kimble with a 48 each, Hayden Kanizer 53 and Reilly Mathenia 56. Other scores included Blayke Thilker 62, Patrick Utter 64 and Dexter Carlan 72.

Jake Dennison had a 46 for Charleston JV followed by Chase Staggs 51, Austin Talbert 54 and Seth Booth 54. Non-counters were Conner Johnson 60, Hayden Finney 61 and Alec Woodall 63.

 

At Casey

Teutopolis totaled a 177 while Casey-Westfield shot 209 in action Thursday.

Dylan Buenker, Evan Schlink and Braydan Bushue shot 43's for the Wooden Shoes. Christian Deters and Keegan Meyer both had a 48. Matt Weber, Jake Wente and Will Schlink all shot 53.
