Effingham, Cumberland, Newton Football Schedules Released

Effingham High School will open its football season at home this year and have five home games.
The Hearts play host to Robinson Friday, August 30 at 7 p.m.
EHS then hits the road for two games at Mount Carmel September 6 and Breese Mater Dei September 13.
Then it's back-to-back home games as EHS plays host to Mattoon September 20 and Charleston September 27.
EHS then travels to Taylorville October 4 before hosting Mahomet-Seymour October 11.
EHS heads to Mount Zion October 18 and then finishes regular season play hosting Centralia October. 25.
Both Cumberland and Newton will have four home games and travel to five games.
The Pirates open the season at Cerro Gordo-Bement Aug. 7 before opening the home portion of its season September 6 hosting Niantic Sangamon Valley.
Newton also opens on the road, traveling to Shelbyville August 30 before hosting Paxton-Buckley-Loda September 6.
