Toney, Pacheco to Play Season Opener

The Kansas City Chiefs expect wide receiver Kadarius Toney and running back Isiah Pacheco to play in their regular season opener against the Detroit Lions

 “Organizationally, we feel pretty good those guys will be ready to play, barring no setbacks,’’ general manager Brett Veach said. “I think we’re in a good place with both of those guys.’’

Texans Minority Owner Faces Charges

Texans minority owner Javier Loya is facing multiple charges of sexual assault in Kentucky.

According to court documents, Loya faces one count of first-degree rape, five counts of first-degree sexual abuse and one count of third-degree sexual abuse.

He was indicted on May 10 in Jefferson County (Kentucky) Circuit Court, pleaded not guilty on May 15 and posted a $50,000 bond. A pre-trial conference is scheduled for Aug. 22.
